Privacy Policy - Curvly

1. Overview

Curvly ("the App") is developed by Definitely Human. This policy explains what data the App collects, why, and who it is shared with. We have written it to describe what the App actually does rather than to cover every theoretical case.

2. What We Never Collect

Your photos and the text you write in your designs never leave your device. They are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party. We do not operate an account system: there is no sign-up, no login, no email address, and no password.

The App does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not track you across other apps or websites, and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

3. Photos and Content

All image editing happens on your device. The App requests access to your photo library only at the moment you choose to import a photo, and requests add-only access when you choose to save an exported image. Camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photo.

Saved projects — your background image, paths, text, and styling — are stored in the App's own storage on your device. Deleting the App deletes them.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These help us understand which features are used and find crashes we could not otherwise see.

What is sent:

• Usage events — for example: onboarding completed, a photo source selected, an export started or saved, the paywall shown, a purchase completed, a font chosen. These record that an action happened, not what you created.
• A device identifier generated by Firebase for this app installation. It is not the Advertising Identifier and is not linked to your name or account.
• Crash and performance data — stack traces and device state at the moment of a crash.
• Photo search terms — if you use the built-in photo search, the words you search for are included in a usage event.

The text you place on your photos is never included in any event.

This data is processed by Google as our service provider. See Firebase's privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.

This website also uses Google Analytics to measure page visits.

5. Photo Search (Unsplash)

The App includes an optional photo search powered by Unsplash. This feature is used only if you open it. When you do, your search terms and your device's IP address are sent to Unsplash in order to return results, and Unsplash is notified when you select a photo, as their API requires.

If you never use photo search, the App makes no requests to Unsplash. See the Unsplash Privacy Policy.

6. In-App Purchases

Curvly Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details. The App only learns whether a valid purchase exists, which it stores on your device.

7. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores a small amount of information locally, which is never transmitted: whether you have seen the introduction, whether you own Pro, and a counter used to decide when to ask you for an App Store rating.

8. Your Choices

You can revoke photo library or camera access at any time in iOS Settings; the App will continue to work with the features that do not need them. Deleting the App removes all locally stored projects and settings. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your installation, contact us and we will pass the request to Google.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from children. The analytics described in section 4 measure app usage only and are not used to build advertising profiles.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted in the App or on our website.
