1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Curvly ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Curvly is a photo editing application that places text along a path drawn on a photo. You can draw a path freehand or insert a ready-made shape such as a circle, arch, straight line, or wave. The App provides font selection, colour, stroke, shadow and opacity controls, multi-layer editing, project saving, and image export.

The App also includes an optional photo search powered by Unsplash. Photos obtained through it are subject to the Unsplash License.

Smart Placement suggests where text could sit on your photo. It runs entirely on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Curvly AI is an optional feature that uses artificial intelligence to create and edit images — for example, turning a text description into a background image and laying out your text on it, or editing a photo you choose. The content you submit for a request is sent to our server and processed by third-party AI service providers; a photo is sent only when you choose to use it in a Curvly AI feature. Curvly AI is available under a subscription described in section 5.

3. User Content

You retain all rights to the photos and text content you create using the App. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including rights in photographs you did not take and in trademarks or quotations you place on them.

Images generated with Curvly AI are yours to use, including commercially, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for the descriptions and photos you submit and for how you use the resulting images. Submit only photos you have the right to use, and do not submit images of other people without their permission. You must not use Curvly AI to create content that is unlawful, that depicts real people in a misleading or harmful way, or that infringes the rights of others. Requests are screened by safety filters and requests that fail them are rejected; a rejected request does not consume a credit.

AI-generated images may be inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable for your purpose. Similar descriptions may produce similar images for other users; we make no claim that a generated image is unique.

4. Free and Pro Versions

The free version of Curvly applies a watermark to exported images and limits export resolution to 2048 pixels on the longest edge, which is suitable for social media use.

Curvly Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that removes the watermark, raises the export limit to 4K, and unlocks the premium font collection. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Curvly Pro also includes 10 AI credits (see section 5); these are granted once, do not expire, and do not renew. Beyond those credits, Curvly Pro does not include Curvly AI. A Curvly AI subscription includes all Curvly Pro features for as long as the subscription is active.

Pricing, availability, and the exact contents of the Pro tier may change in future versions. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple.

5. Curvly AI Subscription

Curvly AI is offered through auto-renewable subscriptions purchased from Apple within the App:

Weekly — 20 AI credits per week, renews every week.
Monthly — 100 AI credits per month, renews every month.

The price is shown in the App before you subscribe, in your local currency, and is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change; you will be notified in advance of any price change as required by Apple.

Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your device). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.

AI credits. Curvly AI features are paid for with AI credits. Each generated image currently costs 1 credit; if we add features with a different cost in the future, the cost will be shown in the App before you use them. A credit is deducted only when a result is delivered to your device; if generation fails or you cancel it, nothing is deducted.

Subscription credits. Each period starts with the full credit allowance for your plan. Unused subscription credits do not carry over to the next period, and when the subscription ends any remaining subscription credits end with it. Subscription credits are used before Pro credits.

Pro credits. The 10 AI credits included with Curvly Pro are granted once per Apple ID, do not expire, and remain available whether or not you subscribe. If a Curvly Pro purchase is refunded, its credits are removed.

Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us.

Fair use. The allowance is for personal use within the App. Automated or scripted access to Curvly AI, or attempts to bypass the allowance, may result in the feature being disabled for your installation.

Availability. Curvly AI depends on third-party services. We may change the underlying model provider, and the feature may be temporarily unavailable. We will do our best to keep it running, but an occasional interruption does not entitle you to a refund from us.

6. Fonts and Third-Party Materials

Besides the typefaces supplied by iOS, Curvly bundles the open-source fonts listed below. Every one of them is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. Their copyright and licence notices are reproduced here as that licence requires.

You may use images you export from Curvly freely, including commercially. The font files themselves, however, remain under the Open Font License: they may not be extracted from the App, sold on their own, or redistributed separately.

Each font is used unmodified. The full text of the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1, is available at openfontlicense.org.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Definitely Human. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

8. Limitations of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Definitely Human shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including loss of unsaved work. Please export or save designs you wish to keep.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
