Terms of Use - Solo Test

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Solo Test ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Solo Test is a single-player peg solitaire game for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It presents the classic 33-hole board with 32 pegs and one empty hole in the centre. You remove pegs by jumping horizontally or vertically over a neighbour into an empty hole; the goal is to leave one peg on the board.

The App includes unlimited undo and redo, automatic saving of the game in progress, a solver that provides hints, statistics, optional sound and haptic feedback, five interface languages, and VoiceOver support. It runs entirely on your device and does not require an internet connection.

3. Purchase

Solo Test is a one-time purchase from the App Store. It is not a subscription, does not renew, and contains no in-app purchases and no advertising. Through Apple's Universal Purchase, a single purchase covers the iPhone, iPad and Mac versions.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple. Pricing and availability may change in future versions.

4. Hints and the Solver

The hint feature uses a solver that searches the current board for a move leading to a single-peg finish. When such a move exists and the search finds it within its limits, that move is shown. If the board can no longer be solved, or the search reaches its limit, a reasonable move is suggested instead.

Hints are offered as assistance, not as a guarantee that any particular board can be completed. Hints can be switched off entirely in Settings.

5. Saved Games, Statistics and iCloud

The App saves your game in progress, your statistics and your preferences. Starting a new game replaces a game already in progress; the App asks you to confirm this first.

If you are signed in to iCloud, statistics and preferences are synchronised across your devices using Apple's CloudKit private database. Synchronisation depends on Apple's services and on your device's connectivity, and we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or immediate. Deleting the App, signing out of iCloud, or erasing your device may remove saved games and statistics. We are not responsible for lost game progress or statistics.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or reverse-engineer any part of the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, artwork, and branding, is the property of Definitely Human. Peg solitaire itself is a traditional game in the public domain; these terms cover this implementation of it, not the game concept.

8. Limitations of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Definitely Human shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including loss of saved games or statistics.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
