Data Deletion - INKSPOT

1. Overview
You can request deletion of your INKSPOT account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how long it takes. For a full description of the data we collect, see our Privacy Policy.
2. Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)
The fastest way to request deletion is directly from the app:
- Open INKSPOT and sign in to your account
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion request
Submitting this request flags your account for deletion. Our team reviews and approves each request to confirm it was submitted by the account owner and to prevent fraudulent or malicious deletion attempts. Once approved, your account and associated data are permanently deleted.
3. Request Deletion Without the App
If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, you can request deletion through our contact form. Please include the email address associated with your account so we can locate and verify it. We may follow up to confirm your identity before processing the request.
4. What Gets Deleted
Once a deletion request is approved, we permanently delete:
- Your account and authentication identifiers
- Your pen and ink collection data, including Currently Inked history, ratings, tags, and writing samples
- Locally cached collection data on your device (removed on sign-out)
- Usage and crash data tied to your account
Places, reviews, and photos you contributed are published anonymously under an auto-generated display name and remain visible to preserve the community record, since they cannot be traced back to you. If you'd like specific contributions removed as well, mention this in your deletion request and we'll remove them too.
Some data may be retained beyond deletion where required — for example, subscription and billing records needed for tax and accounting compliance, or records needed to prevent fraud and abuse. See Privacy Policy, Section 10 (Data Retention) for details.
5. Timeframe
Deletion requests, whether submitted in-app or through the contact form, are reviewed and processed within 30 days.
