Terms of Use — Silencer

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using the Silencer app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Service Description

Silencer is a community-based spam call blocking application for Turkish (+90) phone numbers. The app:

• Maintains a spam database based on user reports.
• Provides automatic call blocking on your iPhone via Apple CallKit.
• Allows users to search numbers and submit reports.

3. Usage Rules

When using the app, you must not:

• Submit intentionally false or misleading reports.
• Coordinate with others to mark legitimate numbers as spam (manipulation).
• Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the system.
• Submit reports using automated tools or scripts.

4. Report System Rules

Rate Limit

Each user may submit a maximum of 10 reports per hour. This limit is enforced to protect the system from abuse.

Duplicate Reports

You may not submit the same vote for the same phone number more than once within a 30-day window. Within that period, you may change your vote.

Report Quality

Reports are expected to be accurate and made in good faith. Accounts found to be systematically submitting false reports may be suspended.

5. User Content

For all content you submit to the app, including report notes, you agree that:

• The content does not contain defamation, libel, or personal attacks.
• The content reflects only your genuine experience with a spam call.
• Submitted content is used for the benefit of the community.

Silencer reserves the right to remove inappropriate content without prior notice.

6. Spam Score Accuracy

Silencer does not guarantee that spam score calculations will always be accurate. The database is built from community contributions and may include:

• False positives (legitimate numbers incorrectly blocked)
• False negatives (spam numbers not detected)

If you believe a legitimate number has been incorrectly flagged, please notify us via our contact page.

7. Service Changes and Interruptions

Silencer reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service without prior notice.
• Update, remove, or edit database content.
• Add new features or remove existing ones.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Silencer accepts no liability for the following situations arising from use of the app:

• Loss of communication caused by incorrectly blocked calls
• Harm caused by missed spam calls
• Losses resulting from service interruptions
• Failures of third-party services (Firebase, Apple CallKit)

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

9. Intellectual Property

The app name, logo, interface, and code are owned by Definitely Human. Users have the right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Copying, modifying, or distributing any part of the app is prohibited.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. In the event of any dispute, Istanbul courts have jurisdiction.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms. Significant changes will be announced within the app. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
